Training Methodology

iCED aims to provide a balanced mix of knowledge and skill development methodologies so that issues relating to environment and sustainable development are clearly understood and appreciated by the participants. The aim of training is to introduce to the participants to not only knowledge about environment and sustainable development issues but also equip them with skills to enable them to audit these issues with confidence and skill.

Class room delivery: This consists of lectures, panel discussions, group discussions, hands on exercises and interactive sessions. Emphasis is given on case studies in audit – both Indian and international, which are presented by the person who has conducted the audit.

Field visits: these are organised to provide practical perspective to the participants relating to the theme of the course/particular session.

Faculty: The faculty for the training Programmes is drawn from the SAI of India, SAI of other countries, various Government agencies as well as a large number of specialised institutions. Every faculty is a practitioner in the fields for which he/she is invited to take a session. A rigorous and continuous quality monitoring of faculty performance is in place.

Reading Material: Apart from several books on the subject, participants are also given a CD of all the presentations, lectures, INTOSAI WGEA guidances, ASOSAI guidances and other relevant materials for their future reference

Certificate:  On successful completion of the programme, the officers are awarded a certificate from the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
